Furniture Donated to Hospice Room With support from both Doctors' Memorial Hospital (DMH) and South House Furniture, Covenant Hospice now has its own dedicated room at the hospital. DMH CEO Rick Brown and Director of Nursing, Ann Gray, offered the room to the Hospice and Mark Southerland, owner of South House, provided the furniture. According to Carol Alvarez, Community Educator for Covenant, she approached Southerland hoping for a discount on some scratched or dented furniture to fill the room. Instead, he donated all the needed furniture. "It's a donation of probably about $1500 or more worth of new furniture," Alvarez said. A dedicated plaque to be placed in the room will read "In the memory of Vera Green, loving grandmother of Dana Southerland."
