DMH Laboratory is a highly automated, full service facility located directly to the left of the main lobby area.
When you call DMH Lab Department, you are greeted by a human voice, not a computerized phone tree. Our staff can connect you directly to the clinical or technical expert that you need to get your questions answered.
Providing quality, personalized service is vital for building and maintaining customer relationships. Our Lab is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week to provide personalized and timely service.
The laboratory teams consists of highly experienced medical technologists, medical technicians and lab phlebotomists, all working collaboratively.

Outpatient Services
DMH Lab provides outpatient services Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. 4:30 p.m. Waiting time is minimal, usually less than 15 minutes. Most testing performed on site is available for physician review the same day. Other outpatient services include therapeutic phlebotomy, performed by skilled Phlebotomists. *An appointment is required for therapeutic phlebotomy.
Local Clinics
Specimens arrive via Lab Courier from DMH Clinics and local Clinics and are processed immediately, reporting results directly back to your physicians usually the same day.
Out-of-Town Physicians
DMH Lab accepts requisitions from out-of-town Physicians. Results are faxed upon completion, usually within a couple of hours.
Workplace Drug Screen Collections
Following DOT, NIDA and State requirements, drug screens are collected by certified collectors as per individual company policy. Specimens are transferred to certified testing laboratories for analysis and results are reported to employer by Medical Review Services.
Drug screen collections times: Monday – Friday 8:00 – 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
Community Services
Health Fairs are held throughout Taylor County. Educational programs and Lab tours are held throughout the year for students and other organizations.
