Emergency Department |

The Emergency Department at Doctors' Memorial Hospital is staffed around the clock by physicians, nurses and healthcare professional specifically trained to deliver emergency medical services at a moment's notice 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Emergency Medical Services (EMS) |
DMH-EMS is the 911 provider for the entire 1042 square miles of Taylor County. The primary mission of the service is to provide emergency pre-hospital care to the sick and injured citizens and visitors of Taylor County. The service also provides a secondary function in transporting inter-hospital patients. These are patients that require specialty services that are not readily available at DMH. We also provide limited non-emergency service to the local area.

Home Health |

Doctors' Memorial Hospital's Home Health Agency is located at Doctors' Memorial Hospital. We provide a variety of professional health care services. Patients must meet criteria. Home Health Care is an extension of the doctor's care and hospital services designed to provide therapeutic and skilled care while in the comfort and independence of your home. Nursing care, personal aide and physical therapy services are currently provided in Taylor, Madison and Jefferson Counties.

Medical Records |
A record of the care you received is retained in the Medical Records Department. These records are kept in strict confidence and are not released without the written consent of the patient, except as required by law. You can fax a request for a copy of your records to 850-584-0627 using this medical records release form or stop by the department. Office hours are from 8:00 a.m. through 4:30 p.m

Nursing Services |

Doctors' Memorial Hospital is a not for profit, acute care community hospital that serves Taylor and surrounding counties. The Nursing Departments provide professional, prompt, caring, compassionate and safe inpatient nursing care. . Nursing values human life and maintains the patient's dignity, privacy, confidentiality, and rights at all times. Care is provided by a highly trained and competent staff, which includes Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants/Nurse Techs. Mandatory certification in life support is required for all clinical staff, which includes BCLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS.

Surgical Services |
DMH has four Surgical Suites and two Endoscopy Suites. It features a dedicated Nursing and Anesthesiology staff who ensure each patient receives the personalized, professional attention they deserve. We have a Post Anesthesia Care Unit where a dedicated team of professionals care for patients receiving general anesthesia and those requiring close monitoring after procedures from the operating room.

Physical Therapy |

The goal of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at DMH Physical Therapy is to assist people who have experienced disabling diseases or injury in regaining control of their lives by restoring movement and function. Our Physical Therapists create individualized treatment plans that consider the unique needs, abilities, and objectives of each patient and provides services in conjunction with other specialties for a wide variety of orthopedic, neurological, and general medical conditions. Our clinical staff consists of 2 Physical Therapists and 1 Physical Therapist Assistant with more than 50 years combined experience. Patients are seen by physician referral. Office hours are by appointment, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. |
